We are thankful for the opportunities the Lord has given Project Nehemiah to show the love of Messiah to those in need during this difficult time.

As the Jewish people returned from exile in Persia, Nehemiah encouraged the people to arise, build and resettle the land God gave them. After the Second Temple was destroyed in A.D. 70, the Jews were once again scattered throughout the world, but in their heart was a deep longing to return to the land of their fathers.

Today, Jewish people are returning to their promised homeland in Israel. The Prophet Isaiah foretold of this event in Isaiah 43:5-6, “Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;” This modern day miracle in Bible Prophecy provides every bible-believing Christian the unique opportunity to become involved in blessing the nation of Israel.

In Israel, Project Nehemiah helps build relationships between Christians and Jews as the middle wall of partition has been broken down (Ephesians 2:14). Love requires more than words, it requires action. Project Nehemiah is a practical way for all of us to show the love of God to the apple of His eye, Israel (Zechariah 2:8).

Because high inflation has burdened Israel’s limited budget, many basic needs go unattended. Therefore, the needs are great for needy Israelis and especially for many new immigrants from the former Soviet Union, South America, Ethiopia, etc.

In order to meet the needs of these precious Jewish families, Project Nehemiah provides several gifts such as food baskets, blankets and candy cheer baskets. These gifts are sent out from our distribution center and are delivered personally to families in several cities throughout Israel by the Project Nehemiah staff and volunteers.

Shalom from Project Nehemiah!

ABOUT US

Since 1997, Project Nehemiah has been formally registered as a non-profit organization by the government of Israel for the purpose of humanitarian aid.

Project Nehemiah seeks to be a testimony of the love of the Messiah. With our offices in the Tel Aviv area, Project Nehemiah distributes gifts of love to over 20 cities throughout Israel.

The name “Nehemiah” means comfort in the Hebrew language.

As Project Nehemiah began with the help of friends and volunteers, they sought to be a comfort and blessing to immigrants and needy Israelis by providing for their physical needs such as food baskets, blankets and other essentials.

These gifts are provided through the generous donations of bible believing Christians who have a desire to be a blessing to the people of Israel.

These gifts of love are personalized with a Shalom card which includes the name of the person who gave that gift. A postcard is then sent back to the donor telling him who received the gift. We do this so that the donor can effectively pray for the recipient.

I want to thank you for your care for us. I have been in Israel for 10 years. I grew up in an orphan’s home and appreciate everything and everyone who cares and supports. You are the first who helped me. I’m retired and live alone. My children live in Russia, my husband passed away. I’m not complaining about my difficult life, I just want to thank you for your care for people.

Give a Gift

Here’s how Project Nehemiah Works:

Nehemiah was overwhelmed because the city of Jerusalem was laid in waste and the people were in much distress. He made an appeal to the people for assistance, “let us rise up and build,” so the people gathered together and “strengthened their hands for this good work.”

Just as in the Book of Nehemiah, you can have gifts sent and placed directly in Israel. Project Nehemiah volunteers will serve as your hands and feet to personally deliver these gifts.

If you wish to give a gift, please mail a check to:

I’m 69 years old, have two grandson who do their service in the Israeli Army, and a granddaughter who is ll. My son and my daughter have their own families. Today I had a wonderful day! It started with meeting you. If there would be more such good and generous people like you, our world would be richer and kinder.
Thank you very much for your gift and warm words.

We express our deep gratitude for the gift we received on your behalf during the Hanukah season. Thank you for the interest you show to the Jewish people who came from all over the world.

I am a new immigrant in the land of Israel. I came from the United States with very little in the way of clothes and possessions. I received your gift of a warm blanket through Project Nehemiah. It will be a tremendous blessing to me because my home does not have heat. But more important is the fact that you showed me, a Jew you never met…love!
I want to thank you for your offering to our G-d and to our Messiah.

Volunteer Testimonies

Abraham T.

The Lord is doing great things today in Israel, especially through the ministries of Project Nehemiah. I was blessed to be a volunteer during the summer of 2019 and it was a life changing experience. The Project Nehemiah team is full of individuals who have had years of experience and they are willing to help volunteers get hands on training in what ministry really is: showing mercy to others and meeting their physical needs. Whether we were packing non-perishable food items and blankets, distributing those items across different cities in Israel, or just simply hearing the different stories of individuals who have moved to Israel to avoid persecution, I felt like I was taking part of something much bigger than myself. I have grown so much from my time there and cannot wait to be part of another trip to Israel to take part in Project Nehemiah.

Josh W.

In 2019, I had the privilege of getting to volunteer with Project Nehemiah for two months. My time spent with Project Nehemiah truly was a life-changing experience, those months helped mold me and shape my life into what it is today. While volunteering, I had the opportunity to hand out food and blankets, but more than that I got to talk and connect with locals. This is something that you don’t necessarily get on a normal tour of Israel. And while I enjoyed getting to see the land, I truly loved getting to meet the heart of Israel, the people.

The team at Project Nehemiah, with whom I had the joy of volunteering alongside, genuinely love the country and people of Israel, and that love shows and spreads to those around them.

I am very thankful for the opportunity to have volunteered with Project Nehemiah, and I constantly encourage others to take the time and go volunteer as well.

I am from Ukraine. The Fall of 2018 was special for me, because it was at this time that the Lord blessed me with a trip to Israel. My friend Rachel had invited me, and it was special to know that we would also be helping, the Ministry of Project Nehemiah. A humanitarian aid ministry that helps Jewish immigrants and needy people in Israel.

A special time of blessing for me, was meeting with these needy people. Each of them had their own story to tell of God’s special leading in their lives and the opportunity to move to their historical homeland.
A special blessing for me was the morning communication with the Project staff, when we read the Bible and prayed for the entire Jewish people and their needs.

Today we continue to pray for Project Nehemiah and that God will reward them for their work, hundredfold.

I was able to work with Project Nehemiah for a couple of months in 2019. Those months will always be recounted as an unforgettable experience to live alongside of and work with God’s chosen people. While I have been on tours of the country of Israel, being able to volunteer to help with Project Nehemiah’s work gave me an insight into the country that was invaluable. I am extremely glad the Lord gave me such an opportunity and will always encourage others who are interested to pray about being able to volunteer with Project Nehemiah, as well.

Rachel H.

In 2018, the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to serve with Project Nehemiah in Israel. It was easy to volunteer there, because everything was very well organized, and the instructions for packing humanitarian aid packages were well explained. It was a blessing to know that I could participate in something that would meet the physical needs of the Jewish people. The days would begin with devotions with the team at PN, and it was always an encouragement. I enjoyed the days of packing supplies, but the best day was when we took the supplies to the people in Be’er-Sheva. Taking food baskets and blankets, we distributed them to the people at the community center where they had gathered. They were very grateful! There were many Russian Jews among the crowd. There was a good time of fellowship, and a happy atmosphere. If you want to donate to a good cause, to find a way to serve the Jewish people, or to participate in a short-term ministry opportunity, I would highly recommend Project Nehemiah.

Have you ever wanted to visit Israel? May I suggest instead of signing up for just a tour, that you would strongly consider serving as a volunteer for Project Nehemiah. You will not be disappointed as you will have the opportunity to see Israel as it truly is.

Opportunities include helping assess inventory, packing bags and boxes with food items that will be distributed and best of all aid in the distribution in areas of Israel that tours do not go. As a result of my helping out, I have built a closer relationship with the Lord as well as seeing for myself the needs of the people being served. I have also gained a better knowledge of the responsibilities of the ministry of Project Nehemiah as they serve the people. I definitely know how to better pray when I read the regular updates sent out by the Project Nehemiah staff. You will truly be blessed and have no regrets.

I got a blanket on your behalf through Project Nehemiah. I couldn’t keep in the tears of gratitude. My heart is warmed just by the thought that there are unknown people who help by donating their money.
May God keep you safe!
